Jed Topham, DVM
Dr. Topham grew up in central Utah. He completed his undergraduate studies with a B.S. in Bioveterinary Science from Utah State University. In 2000, he graduated from Veterinary School with his D.V.M. from Oregon State University. Nevada has been his home since graduation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, boating, fishing, camping, horseback riding and traveling. He is fluent in Spanish, and he enjoys his career as a veterinarian because he likes to help make people’s lives better through service and care for their furry family members. Dr. Topham has an English Pointer at home named Ava.
Travis Pond, DVM
Dr. Pond is a graduate from Utah State University with a B.S. in Bioveterinary Science. He graduated from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He has worked all of his professional career in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. He is fluent in American Sign Language and loves coming to work to get his daily dose of puppy kisses. Dr. Pond is married with six kids, and has two Boston Terriers named Bert and Rue, who regularly comes to work with him. He enjoys camping, hiking and jogging with his family. He also enjoys wood-carving in his free time.
Kimberli Johnson, DVM
Dr. Johnson grew up primarily in the suburbs of Boston. She completed her DVM degree at Kansas State University, graduating in 2001. She has practiced in Las Vegas and Boulder City since graduation. Dr. Johnson is married and has 2 little girls that keep her very busy. She has a little mixed breed dog named “Sunshine,” a desert tortoise, a Bengal named Daisy, and a myriad of fish. She enjoys taking walks with her family and playing with her girls, and is an avid Boston Red Sox fan. As a veterinarian, Dr. Johnson enjoys taking care of dogs, cats, and ferrets and has a very special place in her heart for senior pets.

Carolyn
Office Manager
Carolyn started working here as a receptionist in 2005 and quickly moved up to Office Manager. She enjoys working in the veterinary industry because she gets to interact with our clients as well as their beloved pets. Carolyn has a Yorkshire Terrier named Perci and a Schnauzer/Yorkshire Terrier Mix named Roc’a’rue. She enjoys seeing new movies and enjoying quiet time with her pups.
Jessica
Client Care Representative
Jessica has worked at American Pet Hospital on and off through out the years. She most recently returned in 2017 due to her love of animals and the friendly work environment. Jessica has an adorable Lhasa Apso named Moxie, who she acquired from our clinic as a small puppy. She enjoys painting, hanging out with her friends and family, trying new restaurants and the local music scene.
Karlee
Client Care Representative
Karlee, a Las Vegas native, started working at American Pet Hospital in 2017. She has strong love for animals which she affectionately refers to as ‘critters’. Karlee’s most favorite critter is her beloved chihuahua, Kiwi. Together they enjoy play time in various parks around town, including Red Rock and Mount Charleston. Karlee is a foodie who also enjoys photography, driving and fast cars.
Kaitlyn
Veterinary Assistant
Kaitlyn, a Las Vegas native, started working at American Pet Hospital in 2017. She originally hadn’t considered a job working with animals until she started grooming and soon wanted to learn more. Her love of animals doesn’t stop there though, she has a sweet Pitt bull at home named Darla, with whom she enjoys long hikes and going on adventures. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and their dogs on puppy play dates.
Chelsea
Veterinary Assistant
Chelsea started working at American Pet Hospital in 2017. She is originally from California but has called Las Vegas her home for over a decade. Her ambition is to become a Licensed Veterinarian Technician and she is currently a Veterinary Technician in Training. She currently has a sweet Calico cat named Brownie, who she acquired from the hospital after she had been abandoned when her owners moved. When she isn’t helping assist the Doctors in surgery or caring for the animals, she enjoys hiking and hanging out with her friends.
Stephanie Justice, LVT
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Stephanie started out at our clinic as a young girl when she brought in her first pet, a kitty named Monkey, for vaccinations. She always knew she wanted to work with animals from a young age. Before starting here in 2010 as a kennel assistant, she worked at a pet store and as a dog groomer. Stephanie graduated in 2013 from Pima and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Stephanie has two Corgis, Willow and Duke; two Great Danes, Ulrich and Jocelyn; and one catdog, Ramsay. She enjoys taking her dogs to the park, bowling, hanging out with her friends and attending festivals.
Dyana
Veterinary Technician in Training
Dyana, originally from Chicago, started working at American Pet Hospital in 2016. She has always known she wanted to work with animals and has worked in the veterinary field for multiple years. Dyana has two dogs, a Boxer/Malamute Mix named Remy, a Terrier Mix named Charles Xavier; and two cats, Carl and Simba. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, hanging out with friends, attending concerts and visiting family back home.
Damon
Animal Care Assistant
Damon started working with animals while living in California in 1999, and has been working at American Pet Hospital since 2008. He loves socializing with the animals and getting to know them on a one-on-one basis. He becomes familiar with every animal he encounters and handles each one as if they were his own. His many years of multi-breed experience play a vital role in the care of our boarding patients. Damon is happily married with two sons, and hopes to one day own a French Bulldog.
